Scheduled Power Outage – Circuit 1 on April 18, 2025 9-11AM

Falls City Utilities will be conducting a scheduled power outage on Friday, April 18, 2025, from approximately 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM to safely remove the engine stacks from Engines 1 & 2 at the Falls City Power Plant.
This work is part of a demolition project to remove obsolete and out-of-service equipment that is no longer of value to our system. The engine stacks currently come into direct contact with overhead distribution lines, which have been specially guarded for years to prevent arcing. To ensure the safety of our contractors crew performing the work, a temporary outage is necessary while the stacks are removed.
Circuit 1 includes Falls City High School, Falls City South School and residential areas as depicted by the attach circuit map. To minimize disruption, the outage is scheduled on a “No School” day.
