Check Your Water Service Line in Falls City

Falls City is working to identify and replace lead water service lines across the community. This effort helps reduce health risks tied to lead in drinking water and supports federal water system requirements.

Residents are essential to the success of this effort. Take action today and help protect your family and community!

The City has mailed Water Service Line Notifications to homes with service lines listed as Unknown, Galvanized, or Lead. If you received a notice, please complete the survey included in your letter or use the online survey link to report your service line material.

If you did not receive a notice, your service line has already been identified.

Why This Project Matters

Lead can enter drinking water through older pipes and plumbing materials. Children under 6 face the highest risk from lead exposure because lead can affect brain development. In adults, lead exposure can increase blood pressure, abdominal pain, joint and muscle aches, and memory or concentration issues.

Falls City tests water regularly, but lead often comes from service lines connected to homes. Identifying these lines helps the City plan future replacement work and reduce long-term costs for residents and taxpayers.

Please participate if you:

If your service line has already been replaced, contact the Utility Office with updated information.
