OUTDOOR WOOD FURNACES

Article 1. Definitions

§13-101 OUTDOOR WOOD FURNACES. The term “Outdoor Wood Furnace” shall mean any equipment, device, appliance or apparatus, or any part thereof, which is installed, affixed of situated outdoors for the primary purpose of combustion of fuel to produce heat or energy used as a component of a heating system providing heat for any interior space or water source.  The term “Outdoor Wood Furnace” shall further mean an accessory structure consisting of an above or below grade chamber or furnace constructed of metal or other non-combustible material in which wood, wood pellets, grain pellets or other combustible material is burned to heat water or other liquid which is piped above ground or underground to provide heat or hot water for a house or other structure.  An “Outdoor Wood Furnace” may also be referred to as an “Outdoor Wood Boiler”, “Outdoor Boiler” or “Outdoor Wood-fire Hydronic Heater”.

§13-102 EXISTING OUTDOOR WOOD FURNACES. The term “Existing Outdoor Wood Furnace” shall mean an Outdoor Wood Furnace that was installed prior to the effective date of this ordinance.
