Mayor’s Welcome

Located just 25 miles west of Interstate 29 and 14 miles east of US Highway 75, Falls City is easily accessible and well worth the stop.

Falls City is a progressive community with a strong industrial base and a robust downtown district with a variety of shopping to suit everyone’s needs. We are proud to note that our downtown is on the National Register of Historic Places and that we are a Nebraska Main Street Community.

Located in the heart of our downtown, our John Philip Falter Museum was selected as one of the 2019 Nebraska Passport stops. Plan to spend some time here and see  some of Falter's famous Saturday Evening Post covers.

If you’re considering a move to Falls City, you will find a number of housing options, from apartment living to your forever home. There’s a place for everyone! Our quality of life is second to none with convenient amenities and a low crime rate.

Falls City has an excellent school system, a vibrant library and arts center, a beautiful aquatic park with two water slides, as well as newly renovated ball fields at Dallas Jones and Grandview Park. Stanton Lake Park is home to a trail system, arboretum, frisbee golf, sand volleyball, and a dog park. It also has affordable camping with full RV Hookups and a shower house, as well as playground equipment.

Falls City is away from the hustle and bustle of big city life, but that doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice your health care. We are home to Community Medical Center, a state of the art hospital where you are treated like family. Our emergency services are top notch as well!

It is my privilege to extend the warmest of greetings to you, as you explore the small town charm of the place we call home!
