Falls City area employers are hiring. Our local economy is thriving and businesses are growing. Community members are encouraged to be part of this growth by applying to work for local companies.

Some of the companies currently hiring are:

  • Falls City Nursing & Rehab
  • Pawnee City Assisted Living
  • Landoll Corp
  • Farmers Co-op
  • Falls City Healthcare Community
  • Wide Tool Co., Inc.
  • CJ Foods
  • Exide
  • Jonesbrook Estates, LLC
  • Honeywell
  • DHHS
  • Koch & Co., Inc.
  • Department of Corrections

There are benefits to working for local company

While some Falls City residents choose to commute, those who have opted to work for a local company reap the benefits of doing so. These include:

  • Short commute times
  • More time with friends and family
  • Less money spent on gas
  • Convenience of being close to kids schools and sporting events
  • More time to spend on hobbies and fun activities, rather than on commuting
  • Less wear and tear on the family vehicle
  • Ability to go home for lunch
  • Ability to schedule things like doctors appointments, without taking time off work

People who work close to home often discover that their stress levels are significantly reduced and their quality-of-life improved, as compared to when they were commuting.

Working for local companies helps us all

When community members work close to home, more of their income stays within Falls City. For example, workers who dine out for lunch may eat at a local restaurant. Those who have their clothes dry cleaned may begin using a cleaner close to home, etc. Those who work local, spend local and this can positively contribute to Falls City’s economy.
