Falls City was founded in 1857. Throughout the last 150 years, the town has grown and changed, giving way to historical culture, people, and buildings.

One of these historical buildings is Prichard Auditorium. Built in the 1930’s as a memorial to Leander C. Prichard, the Prichard Auditorium is known as the Jewel of Southeast Nebraska. Built with over 2,000 tons of limestone native to Richardson County, the Prichard Auditorium houses sporting events, performance arts, and cultural events from all over the three-state area of southeast Nebraska.
