Ring Bus Electric System Upgrade

Monday, March 14, 2016

The City of Falls City Electric Department Is upgrading the electric system on our Ring Bus which supplies electricity to a majority of the residential areas of town. This upgrade will include rebuilding the substations at 21st street and 28th street. Construction will start on Sunday March 20th at 8am to change the 21st street substation. City utility workers will rearrange circuits so there is a minimal anticipated outage when the new substation transformers are energized. The area effected is from Business Parkway Road West to Harlan Street and North of the Airport to 14th Street, this will include the Valley Avenue Baptist, Northridge and Nazarene churches. We have scheduled Sunday as the best option for effecting the least amount of people for any outages. We plan on rebuilding the 28th street substation at a later date. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
