The City of Falls City Police Department is currently seeking a full-time radio dispatcher with a competitive starting wage and paid training. City Manager

 

The City of Falls City is accepting letters of application for the position of City Manager. With a broad range of responsibilities and exposure to a full-service local government operation, managing our community will allow you to utilize your wide-ranging skills and talents.

Serving at the pleasure of the Mayor and City Council, the City Manager is responsible for implementing City Council policy, and for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the activities and operations of the city.

Strong skills in financial management, strategic planning, human resource management, public relations, team building and written and verbal communication, policy development, organization and multi-tasking are essential. A passion to serve the citizens of Falls City is a top priority.

POLICE PATROL OFFICER

 

THE FALLS CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT IS CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF A FULL-TIME  POLICE PATROL OFFICER (ENTRY-LEVEL OR CERTIFIED }. DUTIES FOR THIS POSITON WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO,  ARE PREFORMING POLICE PATROL, INVESTIGATION, TRAFFIC REGULATION  AND CITY ORDINANCE ENFORCEMENT.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION ARE YOU MUST BE A HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE OR GED. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 21  YEARS OF AGE. NO SERIOUS MISDEAMEANORS OR FELONY CONVICTIONS. YOU MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST AS REQUIRED BY NLETC, ORAL INTERVIEW, TABE TEST, PSYCHOLOGICAL INTERVIEW AND AN EXTENSIVE  BACKGROUND CHECK.

CANDIDATES THAT ARE CURRENTLY NEBRASKA CERTIFIED ARE ELIGIBLE FOR A $10,000 HIRING INCENTIVE.  STARTING  WAGE FOR A NEBRASKA CERTIFIED OFFICER IS $24.21/HR.  THIS WAGE MAY BE NEGOTIABLE DEPENDING ON YEARS OF EXPERIENCE.

CANDIDATES THAT ARE CERTIFIED IN OTHER STATES START AT $24.21/HR.  THIS WAGE MAY BE NEGOTIABLE DEPENDING ON YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AFTER COMPLETION OF NLETC  REQUIREMENTS  FOR RECIPROCITY CERTIFICATION.

UNCERTIFIED APPLICANTS STARTING WAGE IS $20.89/HR AND WILL INCREASE TO CERTIFIED OFFICER WAGE UPON SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE NEBRASK LAW ENFORCEMENT TRAINING  CENTER .

THE CITY OF FALLS CITY OFFERS A COMPETITIVE BENEFIT PACKAGE INCLUDING AFFORDABLE  FAMILY HEALTH,  DENTAL AND VISION INSURANCE, PAID VACATION AFTER 1 YEAR OF EMPLOYMENT,  PAID SICK LEAVE, PAID HOLIDAY PAY, PAID PERSONAL DAY AND TWO UNPAID PERSONAL DAYS.  YEARLY COST OF LIVING RAISE.  PENSION PLAN (EMPLOYEE  6% AND CITY  MATCHES 6%).  UNIFORM  AND EQUIPMENT ARE FURNISHED.  MASTER POLICE OFFICER PROGRAM WHICH INCLUDES A $2.00 PER HOUR WAGE INCREASE FOR QUALIFIED OFFICERS.
